The cap/hood doubles as a measuring cup, however if more precision is required, liquid can be premixed and heated in a measuring jug.  Please note, as these bottles are insulated, the usual heating methods of standing the bottle in a bottle warmer or pan of hot water will not work.  The milk or water will need to be prewarmed, before adding to this insulated bottle.  Once there, the temperature will remain warm for 4+ hours - however, be wary of keeping warm milk for such a long time due to potential bacteria growth).
